In the city of Toulouse (France), a monument was opened to daughter of Kyiv Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Anna Yaroslavna, the wife of the French king Henry I, a representative of Capetian dynasty.
This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine in France Oleh Shamshur on Twitter.
«Together with delegation of the Kyiv City Hall opened another monument to Anna Yaroslavna in Toulouse. Kyiv presented the bronze sculpture of the Kyiv princess to Toulouse as a sign of sister-city ties uniting the cities since 1970. Now this monument adorns one of the historical places of the city – Place Saint-Pierre», the diplomat noted.
Note that in France the monument to Anna Yaroslavna was previously opened in the city of Senlis. In Kyiv, the monument to Anna Yaroslavna was installed on Lvivska Square on November 10, 2016.
As reported by Journalist, in the Czech Republic opened a monument to the soldiers of the UNR.
