VRU adopted a law on liability for unlawful wearing of military uniforms

Today, on June 6, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on liability for illegal actions with respect to state awards, illegal wearing of military uniforms and desecration of the graves of defenders of Ukraine. (No. 9217).

In accordance with the text of the document, from now on illegal wearing of a military uniform with insignia provides for administrative responsibility and a fine amounting to 150 – 200 non-taxable minimums (2550-3400 UAH).

In turn, it provides for criminal responsibility for the desecration or destruction of the graves of persons who participated in repelling aggression of the Russian Federation (restriction of freedom for three to five years or imprisonment for the same period).

Also, some amendments have been introduced to the article on illegal actions in relation to state awards (a fine of 850 UAH to 6800 UAH).
