Measles outbreak in the Transcarpathian village: dozens of schoolchildren get sick

Measles outbreak was registered in the village of Chorna Tysa in the Transcarpathian region, reported the press servise of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

As on May 17, 56 schoolchildren get measles.

«Two children were hospitalized, the rest are on outpatient treatment with mild forms of the disease», – the message said.

The first case of measles in the village was registered in April 2018. Generally, since the beginning of the year, 66 cases of measles have been registered in the settlement.

Since the beginning of 2018, 2,388 cases of measles have been recorded in the Transcarpathian region. In most of them children were ill.

As «The Journalist» reported, since the beginning of the year, more than 15,000 people get measles.
