Ukraine’s ambassador to the US Valeryi Chaly said that meeting of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko with US President Donald Trump during United Nations General Assembly in New York is not planned.
Diplomat said that every year in September, within the framework of participation of President of Ukraine at UN General Assembly in New York, bilateral Ukrainian-American meetings are taking place, reports Unian.
«I was in White House and I asked about possible meetings of both presidents. They said to me: «Mr. Ambassador, you already have so much that other countries do not have. In Brussels, you had meetings, and five countries were refused. Such meeting is not planned», Chaly said.
«But presidents can talk briefly somewhere. It is obvious that a full-scale, hour-long meeting, perhaps, like last year, will not be», diplomat added.
