The head of the British Foreign Ministry, Boris Johnson, has resigned. This is reported by Reuters, citing the press service of PM Theresa May.
«This afternoon, the Prime Minister accepted the resignation of Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary», — the message stated.

Note that this is the second resignation in a day. Earlier, the UK’s Brexit minister David Davis did the same.

It is known that both resignations were over Prime Minister Theresa May’s plans to leave the European Union. Theresa May supports the so-called «soft» exit from the EU and announced her intention to keep close ties to the EU. At the same time, Johnson and Davis supported «hard Brexit».
