During the so-called «elections» in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts (ORDLO) on November 11, state employees were received text messages with threats, and pensioners were handed out food packages.

This was announced by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Dmytro Hutsuliak, with reference to the Main Intelligence Directorate.

«In places of polling stations location, the food was sold at a reduced price: social bread cost 5 rubles [the usual cost is 10 rubles]; poultry meat cost 55 rubles [the usual cost is 105 rubles]. Socially protected citizens (pensioners, disabled people) were given free food kits (cereals, bread, canned food),» the speaker said.

In addition, the mobile operator Lugakom has sent messages to its subscribers telling about the possibility of receiving 50 or 100 rubles recharge card near the polling station for free – in the case of participation in the elections.

«At the same time, the public sector employees were under psychological pressure, receiving text messages containted threats of dismissal from work in case of refusal to vote or non-appearance at the polling stations,» said the representative of the Ministry of Defense.

As The Journalist reported, there was no coverage of the Vodafone operator’s mobile network on the temporary occupied territories of Donbas, where the so-called «elections» of the leaders of the militants were hold.
