Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch will wrap up her work in Kyiv on May 20.
According to ZN.UA, citing US diplomatic circles, Jovanovitch has urgently set off for Washington for consultations.
It is noted that the ambassador should fly to Ukraine on Saturday, May 11. And, as reported by all diplomats of the embassy, Jovanovitch will return to Washington on May 20.
Prior to the appointment of a new head of the diplomatic mission in Ukraine, his duties will be performed by a temporary attorney, who is yet to be nominated.
Recall that Jovanovitch has served as US Ambassador to Ukraine since 2016.
