WHO sees no end to pandemic despite success in containing pandemic in some countries

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that the global pandemic of the coronavirus infection has been going on for six months, and it is still far from over, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“We all want the pandemic to end, but the harsh reality is that it’s not even close to the end,” WHO Director-General said.

According to him, despite the fact that many countries around the world have made some progressin containing pandemic, in fact, the global pandemic is gaining momentum.

Today more than 10 million people around the world have become infected with COVID-19, 500,306 people became victims of the disease.
