The spouse and daughter of a Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, illegally convicted in Russia, visited him in a penal colony in the Russian Federation.
This was reported on Twitter by Sushchenko’s lawyer Mark Feygin.
“Angelica and Yulia, wife and daughter of the Ukrainian political prisoner Roman Sushchenko, visited him. They had a long, three-day meeting in Kirovo-Chepetsk colony (IK-11). Roman is still well,” Feygin wrote.
The lawyer expressed hope that representatives of the new Ukrainian government will deal with the exchange of Sushchenko for the accused of treason former chief editor of RIA Novosti-Ukraine, Vyshynsky.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian political prisoner Stanislav Klykh went on hunger strike.
