World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Satu Kahkonen has said that Ukraine will not be ready to open the market on July 1, 2019.
“Ukraine will not be ready to open the power market from July 1. In our opinion, this needs more time to create the necessary conditions to launch the market. There no such a conditions so far, and the Ukrainians will be the first to suffer because of it,” said Kahkonen.
In this regard, the World Bank Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova recommended the Ukrainian authorities to design a detailed plan of actions in order to launch this market, UNIAN reports.
“We recommend designing a detailed plan with the concrete time frame for the launch of the market so not to have delays again,” she added.
