Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Volodymyr Yelchenko has informed that Ukraine will start receiving military assistance from the USA in February 2020, the Ukrinform reports.
According to Yelchenko, the total U.S. assistance will amount to USD 698 million.
“Yes, this year the total U.S. assistance will amount to USD 698 million,” the diplomat said.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States said that USD 250 million assistance to Ukraine will be provided by the Pentagon, USD 448 million of economic assistance will be allocated by the U.S. State Department, of which USD 115 million will cover security issues.
He also said that an additional USD 50 million will be allocated under certain conditions.
