Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine paid 16.3 million UAH to people’s deputies and employees of the staff in the first half of July 2017.
Such information is contained on the portal for the use of public funds, reports Radio Svoboda. Of this amount, UAH 15 million was paid to people’s deputies in cash.
In July, the deputies held 8 plenary sessions. On July 13th, the last meeting took place. Verkhovna Rada closed its eighth session. The new, ninth, will open on September 4th.
In January of this year, people’s deputies were paid more than 14 million UAH as their salaries however the deputies held meetings only from January 16 to 19th. The rest of the time they had to work in committees, commissions and fractions.
