Ukrainian sailor detained by occupation authorities of the Crimea was released to attend mother’s funeral

In the occupied Crimea one of the crew members of the vessel YAMK-0041, which was earlier detained by Russia, was released to attend funeral of his mother.

This was reported Parliament Commissioner for Human Lyudmila Denysova.

«We know that now the crew member of the vessel YAMK-0041, Gennady Oticko, is going to Armyansk. Admin border with the Crimea, he will go to the control point of entry-exit Kalanchak. They are waiting for him there, and will continue to be accompanied by my representatives», wrote the Ombudsman.

A few hours later, Denysova also reported that Oticko, on Sunday evening, October 15, was already on the territory controlled by Ukraine.

«I spoke with a member of the crew of the vessel YAMK-0041. He is already in the territory controlled by Ukraine, he is returning to Ochakov», the ombudsman said.
Denysova also noted that representatives of the Commissioner escorted the sailor home.

As reported by The Journalist, almost 300 Ukrainian sailors are in prisons abroad.
