President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Natalya Pushkareva the Presidential Commissioner for Volunteers’ Rights. This is stated in the relevant decree published on the presidential website.
The main tasks for the newly appointed Commissioner will be support for volunteer activities, providing guarantees of observance of the rights and legitimate interests of volunteers, submission to the president of a proposal to support volunteering and suppress violations in this area, submitting to the President a proposal for the preparation of draft laws and other documents on issues of supporting volunteering, participation in the analysis of laws signed by the head of state, and bills proposed by the president for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada.
In addition, the authorized person should carry out activities aimed at ensuring, restoring violated rights and legitimate interests of volunteers, and inform the public about such measures and their results.
