President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree No.41/2020 on the new structure of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
In accordance with the text of the document, the structure of the central apparatus of the State Bureau of Investigation has changed.
Within the SBI will be created:
• the Main Investigative Department, operational and operational-technical departments, departments of internal control, ensuring personal security, as well as department on investigating crimes committed in connection with mass protests in 2013-2014,
• offices for legal support, international cooperation, human resources and civil service, secret-security work and information protection, financial activities, information technologies,
• departments for public, media relations and organizational and analytical support,
• patronage service.
In addition, 7 territorial departments in Lviv, Khmelnitsky, Mykolaiv, Melitopol, Poltava, Kramatorsk and Kyiv will remain in the SBI.
