President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered to impose a two-year moratorium on the checks of self-employed individuals, except for “risky” business categories. This was reported by the Presidential Office.
Zelensky noted that it is needed to improve work conditions for owners of small business. In this regard, the head of state instructed to impose a two-year moratorium on the checks except the “risky” ones, such as jewelry business.
In this way Zelensky reacted to criticism coming from small businesses representatives who protested against the laws “On Amending the Law of Ukraine on the Application of Registrars of Settlement Transactions in the Field of Trade, Public Catering and Services regarding the refinement of settlements in the field of trade and services” and “On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the detailing of settlements in the field of trade and services,” which introduce an electronic check.
Recall that the State Tax Service should provide an application for electronic checks for free testing for everyone from January 1, 2020.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine’s Tax Service will check manufacturers of tobacco products.
