The mortgage rates in Ukraine will drop to 12-13% per annum in 2020. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksii Honcharuk.

To Honcharuk, lending at 12-13% in Ukrainian Hryvnia will be possible next year.

“Today I had a very frank and good conversation with the heads of foreign banks in Ukraine. Prepare business plans, dear entrepreneurs. The country is changing. Everything will be fine,” the report said.

Recall that as of today, the nominal annual mortgage rates at Ukrainian banks set at about 20% per annum. At the same time, interest rates on loans are closely related to the discount rate set by the National Bank. Now the discount rate is 17%, but the national regulator is forecasting its decline to 8% by the end of 2022.

As The Journalist reported, State Statistic Service revealed reasons for economic inactivity of Ukrainians.
