The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the entire anti-corruption system of Ukraine, including the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, needs to be rebooted.

Zelensky said this at the joint press conference with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Kyiv.

“We need to restart the entire anti-corruption system, including the work of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention,” said the head of state.

The president expressed his gratitude to the EU for its willingness for ongoing support of Ukraine in the fight against corruption, UNIAN reports.

“I know how our European partners are tired of allocating funds for the mythical fight against corruption. I believe that soon we will ask you not for money, but for the extradition of top corrupt officials – fugitives,” Zelensky stressed.

Meanwhile, Zelensky noted that he “had his political will to overcome corruption.”
