President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree to develop the investment potential of Ukraine and attract IT specialists from Belarus.
This is stated in the decree No. 420/2020 “On some measures to attract entrepreneurs, highly qualified specialists who are citizens of the Republic of Belarus.”
The decree provides for the extension of the period of temporary stay on the territory of Ukraine for citizens of Belarus, “whose immigration is in the interests of Ukraine,” to 180 days a year.
In addition, Zelensky instructed the government to submit a draft of a simplified residence permit for these categories of Belarus citizens. Also, the Ukrainian side plans to optimize the procedure for obtaining permits for the use of labor of foreigners for the employment of highly qualified IT specialists from Belarus.
