President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the law No.2241 “on amending Article 252 of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the regulation of the rent payments for the use of subsoil for amber mining,” the Governmental website says.
The bill provides for a reduction in the rental payments for amber extraction from 25% to 5%. The 5% rate will be valid by the end of 2020. In 2021, it will increase to 8%, and from 2022 it should reach a constant level of 10%.
Corresponding changes are made to Clause 252.20 of Article 252 of the Tax Code.
