President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during the presentation of plans for road construction in 2020, has said that a large-scale construction of new roads and repair of existing roads will begin in Ukraine from March.

“As promised, we will begin a large project on March 1. We want to connect all corners of Ukraine with high-quality roads,” the Head of State said.

To Zelensky, in 2020, UAH 85 billion were allocated to repair 4,000 kilometers of roads of national importance.

Another UAH 22.2 billion were allocated to repair local roads this year. This will help to create about 12,000 new jobs.

In addition, Zelensky promises that patching of the roads will became a distant memory.

“For many years in our country was popular the so-called successful “startup”, thanks to which officials built more than one estate for themselves. This startup is called “patching,” the President said.

The head of state noted that “all works must be done with the guarantee of quality from the responsible contractor.”

“We build once and for many years,” Zelensky concluded.
