The President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Canadian business to invest in Ukraine in the IT industry, production of “green” energy and mining.
According to the presidential press service, in Toronto Zelensky has met with business representatives – members of the Economic Club of Canada.
The president called the areas which can be of interest to the investors, that is, ІТ, production of “green” energy and mining.
According to the head of state, a special issue is restoration of Donbas, thus, the projects on investments in this region will be considered as a priority.
Zelensky also proposed to establish a special investment fund for the joint investments of Canadians of Ukrainian origin in the projects in Ukraine.
“As president of Ukraine, I can guarantee full support for the implementation and investment protection of such a project. A special team is being built for this purpose”, Zelensky added.
The President recalled that in Ukraine a new leadership of the SBU, State Border Service, State Tax and Customs Services had been appointed.
“Their key objective is to overcome smuggling and corruption, to immediately stop the pressure on the “white” business. The people linked to raiders and manipulations with state registries are gradually being dismissed”, Zelensky said.
As reported by The Journalist, Ukraine and Canada agreed on cooperation in defense sphere.
