On June 24th, the ban on driving for women was completely lifted in Saudi Arabia. It was the last country in the world where girls and women were threatened with punishment for driving. This is reported by Quartz.
On the first day after the lifting of the ban, a local resident of Leesa released a video for the rap track «We’re going», in which she reads on the background of the car and behind his wheel. The artist refers to the historical date «10/10», as June 24th corresponds to the tenth day of the tenth month of the Islamic calendar. Also Leesa mentions that finally there is no need for a taxi, because you can buy your own car.
Earlier, the «Journalist» reported that the most dangerous country was named for women.
