The head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius said that there is no split in the OUC, and there will not be.

This Epiphanius said during a trip to Mariupol, reports “News of Donbas.”

“Each hierarch has certain thoughts, but we must jointly build the future in a single local Ukrainian Orthodox church,” the priest noted.

Responding to questions about the latest public statements by Patriarch Filaret, Metropolitan Epiphanius noted that the Patriarch highly honored the Patriarch, but it is difficult to agree with his individual statements.

“We respect His Holiness Patriarch Filaret, but do not support the thoughts that he expressed in the last days,” Epiphanius said.

The Metropolitan also expressed confidence that at the current stage of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, above all, we need to move forward and develop the future.

“Everyone should clearly understand that before the Unification Council began, such structures as the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church were dissolved,” said the primate of the OUC.

As reported by “Journalist”, the main religious leaders of Ukraine appealed to the residents of Donbas and Crimea.
