Two former heads of the Kharkiv Armored Plant SE and the NABU detective have been informed of suspicion in the case of a possible embezzlement in the state concern Ukroboronprom.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
In particular, two former heads of the SE Kharkiv Armored Plant have been informed of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 191 (embezzlement of property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The NABU detective, who investigated the activities of the above-mentioned officials in 2016, is charged under Part 1 of Article 366 (concealment of a particularly serious crime) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In 2016, NABU received materials on the planned audit of the Kharkiv Armored Plant activity in 2012-2016, according to which 11 out of 49 sights were not actually delivered to the customer. The SBI noted that each such “purchase” cost more than UAH 1 million to the budget of Ukraine.
“There is a NABU’s detective appeal to conduct an examination. There is an expert’s response asking for providing primary documentation. It is established that by that moment the NABU detective had got it yet. However, for unknown reasons, instead of submitting the documents the latter recalled the examination,” SBI reported.
In addition, the results of the examination indicate UAH 9,700,000 of damage caused to the state due to unlawful actions of officials.
As The Journalist reported, Ukroboronprom will be reformed after investigating facts of embezzlement in Armed Forces of Ukraine.
