Naftogaz of Ukraine has declared its readiness to start the heating season and to the possible cessation of the natural gas transit through Ukraine, as the press service of Naftogaz reported.
As of today, Ukraine has pumped 19.5 billion cubic meters of gas into underground storage facilities, which is 4 billion cubic meters more than last year.
CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Andrii Kobolev, noted that, given into account the amount of gas pumped in underground storage facilities, Ukraine was provided with gas for the coming winter, as well as the signing of a contract with a major international trader on gas supplies in the Q1 of 2020.
According to Naftogaz, Ukraine needs to accumulate at least 20 billion cubic meters of gas.
