The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine will adjust the draft state budget for 2020 in connection with positive forecast of the hryvnia to the dollar rate.
This was stated by Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova on the air of “Voice of America” in Washington (USA).
“We have both the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank forecasts. Soon we will have a forecast from the Cabinet of Ministers, which the Ministry of Economy is preparing currently. We see that all these forecasts, as well as the National Bank forecast, shows the hryvnia exchange rate to be strengthened for the next year,” Markarova noted.
According to her, the course on which the budget was previously based will be different.
“We will now wait until the forecast is submitted by the Ministry of Economy, and in accordance with it we will adjust the budget,” the Minister of Finance emphasized.
As The Journalist reported, EBRD invested over EUR 1 bln in Ukraine’s economy since the beginning of this year.
