On December 24, employees of the pyrotechnic group of the special emergency rescue squad of the State Emergency Service department in Rivne Oblast destroyed 28 World War II artillery shells (25 shells of 45mm caliber and 3 shells of 76mm caliber, the State Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
The ammunition was discovered on December 23 and 24 near the village of Shpaniv, Rivne raion, during a survey of the territory from 146 km + 630 of N-25 Gorodyshche-Rivne-Starokostiantyniv state highway section to the / N-25 / 8 km + 426 section of the T-18-32 / N-22 / – Khodosy-Kustyn state highway, in order to detect explosive objects from the First and Second World Wars. This section of the road is currently under construction.
Pyrotechnics examine the territory.
Pyrotechnicians should further investigate the 6 km of the highway which is under construction by the end of the year.
Since the construction works on this section of the road start, Pyrotechnics found in total 29 explosive objects.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian State Emergency Service received special accident rescue vehicles.
