Hong Kong requires eggs exported from Ukraine does not contain antibiotics

The State Service for Food Safety and Consumers’ Rights Protection in Ukraine said that Hong Kong has toughened sanitary requirements for table eggs exports from Ukraine.

From now on, table eggs exports possible only with expert opinion on the absence of antibiotics in the products.

“Starting from January 27, 2020, export of table eggs from enterprises authorized by the Hong Kong competent authority is possible only if there is evidence (expert opinions of authorized accredited laboratories) that each batch of exported table eggs does not contain fluoroquinolone and salinomycin antibiotics and are safe for human consumption,” the department noted.

The State Service for Food Safety draws market participants’ attention to the fact that exports of table eggs to the Hong Kong special administrative region is possible only in case of a strict observance of sanitary requirements of the country of destination.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine will export fresh eggs to Japan.
