The militants shelled the residential areas of Marjinka in Donbas; under the enemy fire came the school. As a result of attack the students were evacuated to a bomb shelter.

This was reported by the press service of the Joint Forces Operation on Facebook.

“The Russian-led armed formations made the silence regime too ‘loud’ for the peaceful inhabitants of Marjinka in Donetsk Oblast – especially for staff and pupils of secondary school No. 2 of this city. The enemy, neglecting the norms of humanitarian law accepted in the civilized world, shelled residential area on the outskirts of Marjinka settlement with small arms and automatic grenade launchers,” the statement said.

Pupils of the school and children of the lower grades who remained in the extended day group were in danger. The staff of the educational institution promptly evacuated them to the bomb shelter.

“After the shelling, National Police officers took the students and school personnel out of the danger area. There are no victims among the locals and children,” the message reads.
