Over the past day, the militants violated the ceasefire regime 11 times. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters. The Ukrainian military eliminated three occupiers.
Militants shelled Ukrainian positions from 120mm and 82mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
“Ukrainian soldiers conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy,” the report reads.
In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Novotroitske using 82mm mortars and easel anti-tank grenade launchers. The enemy also resorted to the grenade launchers near Marjinka.
The JF defense positions near Vodiane came under enemy fire, namely, from automatic easel grenade launchers and heavy machine guns, and the defenders of Bohdanivka were shelled from heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, the militants fired two times at the fortified JF positions near Horikhove, using 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and small arms.
Enemy launched two attacks from heavy machine guns and small arms at Ukrainian positions near Novoluhanske, as well as attacked from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers in the vicinity of Novooleksandrivka. Near settlements of Khutir Vilniy and Travneve enemy used grenade launchers of various systems and small arms.
