The Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has met with George Kent, the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the European and Eurasian Bureau at the U.S. Department of State and discussed the security issues during the parliamentary elections in Ukraine scheduled on July 21.
During the meeting in Toronto, the parties have discussed the procedure and system for ensuring the observance of the legality and security of the electoral process, as the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
The Ukrainian minister assured the US State Department representative that all MIA bodies are able to ensure stability and ready to resist any attempts of destabilization, hybrid attacks and illegal methods of the electoral struggle. All departments and cyber defense specialists will be involved in the process.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine and Canada have agreed to simplify entry for Ukrainians.
