Boeing agreed to sell MAX series aircraft

For the first time during last three months Boeing reached an agreement to sell 737 MAX aircraft. The British International Aviation Holding International Airlines Group (IAG), which includes British Airways and Iberia, got interested in buying the liners. It is reported by the press center of International Airlines Group.

The parties signed a letter of intent. The IAG plans to purchase 200 aircraft (models 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 10). The aircraft delivery is scheduled in 2023 – 2027. The cost of the transaction, according to the Boeing press release, is estimated at above $ 24 billion.

This is the first major Boeing deal following prohibition of use of new MAX series liners.
