The Chinese government is ready to invest USD 600 million in upgrading the Slovyansk Thermal Power Plant, Gromadske reports.
According to the adviser on trade and economic issues of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine, Liu Jun, funds will be provided after the Ukrainian government issues state guarantees for this amount.
“The Chinese side is ready to invest more than USD 600 million in this project under the state guarantees by the Ukrainian side,” the statement said.
Credit funds should be provided as part of an agreement between the Chinese government and Donbassenergo.
