Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Danyliuk said that Viktor Medvedchuk, who was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of new convocation, has a clear pro-Kremlin orientation, and will use the parliament’s platform for his personal interests.
Danyliuk told this in an interview with the BBC Ukraine.
The NSDC Secretary also commented on Medvedchuk’s desire to “reintegrate the ORDLO with a peace plan for Donbas, which supposedly was agreed in Moscow, Luhansk and Donetsk, but is not accepted by official Kyiv.”
“I have no idea about Medvedchuk’s plan. If he already states that the plan is not perceived by Kyiv, then, probably, it was discussed with someone else. Taking into account on his political position and the way he behaved during the election campaign and before it, I have certain concerns that this plan is not in the interests of Ukraine. But I don’t want to get ahead of myself, I don’t know about such a plan,” the NSDC Secretary noted.
