On May 8, the militants shelled Ukrainian army positions 11 times in Donbas, two times using 82mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook.
The enemy also shelled Ukrainian defenders using grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian positions nine times using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the village of Pavlopil; grenade launchers of various systems near the town of Maryinka; two times using heavy machine-gun grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near the village of Bohdanivka; easel anti-tank grenade launchers near the village of Starohnativka; automatic machine gun grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near the village of Lebedynske; hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the village of Opytne.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever(“North”), the enemy attacked JFO positions two times using 82mm mortars near the village of Novotoshkivske; grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns near the settlement of Zalizne.
The HQ reported that over the past day one member of Joint Forces was killed, another four were injured.
According to intelligence data, one militant was killed, five more were injured.
