The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has prepared a set of rules on use of drones. Due to this, the European Union became the first region in the world where such rules are defined. This is reported by the German DW international broadcast.

It is noted that, thanks to the general rules, it will be possible to stimulate investment, innovations and growth in this sector, as well as to create conditions for safe and stable drone operation.

As it is known, since June 2020 drone operators are obliged to register in the EU country and have each drone registered.

It is expected that such step will allow to prevent the events like those occurred at the airports of Gatwick and Heathrow, when work of the air terminals was suspended due to the drones flying over their territory.
