Ukraine plans to stop borrowing from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by 2023. and get an investment grade rating. This was stated by Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko.
He noted that, thanks thanks to de-shadowing, an increase in revenues, more efficient spending, and improved credit ratings, Ukraine has a chance to stop borrowing from IMF by 2023.
On June 12, Ukraine received first USD 2.1 billion tranche from the International Monetary Fund. On June 10, the IMF Board of Directors agreed on Ukraine’s new stand by program in the amount of USD 5 billion.
