According to the American Johns Hopkins University, as of August 25 the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world reached 23,658,038.
At least 15,342,327 people have been recovered, while coronavirus death toll reached 813,265 victims.
Most cases of infection were recorded in the United States and totals 5,740,909. This is followed by Brazil (3,622,861), India (3,167,323) and Russia (959,016).
