Ukraine’s draft budget for 2020 envisages UAH 240 million for tourism development. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Honcharuk during the presentation of the draft budget.

“We are investing in the development of tourism potential. In our opinion, it has been undeservedly forgotten. In some countries of the World tourism accounts for about 10% of GDP, but in Ukraine this figure is still low. We believe that this is unacceptable,” Honcharuk said.

At the same time, he noted that according to the government estimates, one foreign tourist visiting Ukraine contributes about USD 500 to the development of country’s economy.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine’s government approves development program for Carpathians.
