The identification of the bodies of all 11 Ukrainians who died as a result of the crash of the Ukraine International Airlines plane in Tehran has been completed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior Affairs of Ukraine.

“Experts of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, who are currently in Tehran, have received DNA profiles of all 11 Ukrainian citizens who died in the crash of a UIA plane. Preparations for the repatriation of the bodies to Ukraine are underway,” the report said.

According to preliminary information, repatriation of the bodies is planned to be carried out before January 19, 2020.

In the investigation of the causes of the UIA plane crash in Iran involved 15 rescuers, 4 investigative experts and three experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Two genetic experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine remain in Tehran until the repatriation to be completed.
