The International Monetary Fund (IMF) calculated COVID-19 impact on the development of the world economy, Reuters reports.

According to the Fund’s experts, if the spread of coronavirus in the world ceases and production in China restores, the world economy will lose up to 0.1% of the projected growth rate for 2020

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has said that the virus outbreak caused China’s economic growth at 5.6% in 2020, which is 0.4 percentage points lower than the IMF forecasted for January.

“Thus, the growth of the global economy will be approximately 0.1% lower than predicted,” Georgieva said.

The situation may aggravated if coronavirus continues to spread.

As The Journalist reported, NSDC intends to restore Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in Ukraine.
