Representatives of Ukraine in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) have denied the statement by the Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE) about the alleged violation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the Minsk agreements regarding the withdrawal of weapons from the demarcation line.

“In daily reports dated January 4 and 6, 2020, the OSCE SMM team continues to provide inaccurate information regarding violations by the Ukrainian side of the Minsk agreements on the withdrawal of weapons, namely, 9K33 Osa anti-aircraft missile systems. The Ukrainian side of the JCCC informs that the deployment of the specified military equipment does not fall within the scope of the Minsk agreements on the withdrawal of weapons. According to the Minsk agreements, tanks, artillery, MLRS, tactical missiles are subject to withdrawal. The agreement does not refer to the withdrawal of anti-aircraft missile systems,” the statement emphasizes.

The Ukrainian side of the JCCC also stated that such information contradicts the principles of neutrality and impartiality, which are guided by the representatives of the OSCE SMM in providing sensitive defense information.
