On May 5, illegal armed forces violated the cease-fire regime 11 times, two times using 120 mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ on Facebook.
Militants also shelled Ukrainian positions using weapons mounted on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian positions seven times using 120-mm mortars near the town of Avdiyivka; two times using hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements of Talakivka and Pavlopil; two times from automatic stun grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlement of Lebedynske; from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the village of Bohdanivka; from automatic stun grenade launchers and small arms near the village of Pishevyk.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever(“North”), the enemy attacked JFO positions four times using 120-mm mortars near the village of Novozvanivka; armament of infantry combat vehicles and grenade launchers of various systems near the village of Novooleksandrivka; two times using anti-tank missile systems near the Krymske settlement.
No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
According to intelligence data, on May 5, one occupier was killed, another five were injured.
