The trial in The Hague District Court of four suspects accused of murder over the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 will continue behind closed doors due to the spread of the coronavirus, Reuters reports.

Pre-trial hearings in the case against three Russians and one Ukrainian began in the Schiphol Judicial Complex (JCS) last week. Prosecutors say the suspects helped to arrenge the Russian missile system used to shoot down the civilian plane.

The next hearing will be held on March 23 behind closed doors without the press and relatives of the victims. The number of prosecutors and lawyers allowed into the court room will also be limited.

П After that, the trial is scheduled to continue in June.
