On February 16, the illegal armed formations violated the ceasefire regime nine times over the past day in Donbas. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters.
The militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements, as well as grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions three times: near Lebedynske from a 82mm mortar (7 shells), as well as from heavy machine gun; near Marjinka from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, Russian occupation forces attacked 6 times: near Novoluhanske from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms; near Krymske from 120mm mortar (20 shells); near Horikhove from 120mm mortar (25 shells) and from 82mm mortar (5 shells); near Novozvanivka from 120mm mortar (18 shells); near Khutir Vilny from 82mm mortar (6 shells).
No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
