The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Volodymyr Omelyan, said that the “era of concrete roads in Ukraine” begins this year, dsnews.ua reports.
Omelyan noted that in 2019 the first tens of concrete roads will be laid, whereas in 2018 about 4,000 km of asphalt concrete were built.
“I want, thousands of kilometers to be built of concrete in next three years,” the minister stressed.
Omelyan also added that proper control should be exercised over the creation of such roads, otherwise the entire industry will be “buried”.
