The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Committee has adopted a resolution on the Nord Stream-2 and Turkish Stream gas pipelines which are considered as “potential levers of political and economic pressure on the countries dependent on gas supplies.”

“On July 7, the Committee on Political Affairs and Security of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly adopted a resolution on “Energy Security in the OSCE Region”, authored by a parliamentarian from Lithuania, Ruta Miliute. A group of the parliamentarians from the USA, Lithuania and Canada made the amendment (which is of particular concern in connection with the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream projects). The resolution calls on the governments of the OSCE member states to abandon the use of energy resources as a tool to conquer and put pressure on the countries depending on their import or transit,” the message says.
