A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will travel to Ukraine from March 29 to April 1 to observe the Ukrainian presidential election.

PACE’s press service informed that the delegation is headed by British MP Angela Smith.

PACE delegates will observe the conduct of the March 31 presidential election alongside observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the European Parliament, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

The delegation, accompanied by representatives of the Venice Commission, is due to meet the presidential candidates or their representatives, election officials and representatives of civil society and the media.

A joint press conference to deliver the observers’ preliminary conclusions is scheduled on Monday, April 1.

As The Journalist reported, special polling stations, created on Ukrainian ships, will produce ballots independently.
