The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the draft law on strengthening responsibility for the groundless refusal of preferential transportation of certain categories of citizens and increasing the fine to UAH 2550, the press service of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in Ukraine said.
“On the eve of June 4, the Parliament adopted in its first reading a draft Law on Administrative Offenses regarding the strengthening of responsibility for the unreasonable refusal by drivers of preferential transportation of certain categories of citizens. This draft law suggests providing amendments regarding sanctions increase in the amount of 150 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, that is, UAH 2,550”, it was reported.
It is noted that today the administrative penalty for the groundless refusal of preferential transportation of citizens amounts to 8 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, that is, 136 UAH.
